She went on to receive her Doctorate of PHysical Therapy degrees in 2017from Creighton University. Alyssa’s first year of physical therapy practice was at an outpatient orthopedic clinic in Omaha, NE where she was able to work with a variety of ages and pathologies. Alyssa has completed continuing education classes that allow her to perform dry needling and she received a certification in kinesio-taping. Alyssa enjoys working with all populations of patients, but she has a strong passion to work with high school and college athletes as athletics have played an important role in her life and have shaped who she is today. In her free time, Alyssa enjoys working out, spending time outdoors fishing, biking, camping, participating in and watching (especially the Creighton Bluejays) sporting events, hanging out with friends and family, volunteering, doing house renovations on her first home, baking, and trying out new coffee shops and restaurants. Alyssa is recently engaged to her fiance Zach, therefore she has also been spending a lot of her free time planning her wedding for October of 2020. Alyssa is a member of the Teammates mentoring program in NEbraska City, a member of NEbraska City Rotary, and volunteers at Lourdes Central Catholica once a week to assist students and faculty with advice on injuries.
