Husker Rehab Occupational Therapist

Melissa Cromer, O.T.

Melissa Cromer has been employed by Husker Rehabilitation as an Occupational Therapist for the past 15 years and resides in Fairbury, NE with her husband, Greg Cromer and their three children.

Melissa grew up in the heartland of NE and Graduated from Grand Island Northwest. She attended Hastings College where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychiobiology. Upon graduating from Hastings, Melissa was accepted into the Occupational Therapy Program at Washington University in St. Louis and completed her Master’s degree in 1993. Remaining in the St. Louis area for 2 years she was employed by a small hospital in Crystal City, MO and later worked in an outpatient clinic before moving back to Fairbury, NE. Currently she keeps busy working part time at both Fairborn and Beatrice locations of Husker Rehab and enjoys treating patients all ages geriatric to pediatric. Melissa’s main area of treatment is upper extremity pathology including shoulder, elbow, wrist and finger and pelvic floor therapy for men and women. During her free time she enjoys outdoor activities such as golfing, gardening, running and biking.

Greg Cromer, M.S.P.T.

Greg has been with Husker Rehab since its founding in 1995.  He was raised in Utica, NE where he participated in sports and school extra-curricular activities.

It was in high school where he was introduced to PT after sustaining a back injury. Following high school he attended Hastings College where he participated in Football and majored in psychology and biology.  Upon graduation from Hastings College with his Bachelor of Arts degree he was accepted into the Washington University Medical School program in Physical Therapy. In 1991 he graduated with his Master of Science in Physical Therapy degree and began his professional career at Jefferson County Rehabilitation and Sports Clinic in Crystal City, MO just outside of St. Louis.  While at Jefferson County Rehab and Sports he was responsible for on-field medical coverage for 6 high schools. In addition to his duties at these high schools he was in the clinic seeing a full load of patients and supervising 2 PTAs. In 1995 Greg and his wife Melissa moved back to Fairbury NE and launched Husker Rehabilitation and Sports Clinic initially contracting all PT, OT and speech therapy services to the local hospital.  In 1999 Greg and his partner Mike Zalman opened the first Lincoln clinic followed by the Beatrice location 2 years later. Over the next 20 years Ryan Wade was added as a partner, the Fairbury clinic moved to a location downtown and additional clinics were opened in Nebraska City and Lincoln.

Greg enjoys working with all ages and diagnoses utilizing several different manual treatment approaches.  Emphasis of treatment is placed on diagnosing and treating postural faults and imbalances. He has been certified in dry needling, LSVT and Graston technique.  His approach to treatment focuses on hands-on manual therapy, progression of therapeutic exercise and development of a home exercise program to allow his patients to progress as their individual condition allows.

Greg and his wife Melissa currently live south of Beatrice and have 3 grown children Kalee, Jensen and Alec. In Greg’s spare time he likes to golf, camp, fish and work in the yard.

Office Assistant

Amanda Snook

Amanda was born and raised in Fairbury Nebraska. She has an older sister and a younger brother. Amanda and her husband have been married for 16 years and together they have three sons, Daxton, Jace, and Wesley.

Amanda started PT with Greg in 2018 after she suffered a spinal cord injury from a car accident.

In January, of 2020, she was crowned Miss Wheelchair Nebraska. She is a peer mentor for
Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska. She started working at HR in October,
2021 as an Office Assistant.

Amanda enjoys spending time outdoors with family and friends, fishing with her boys, and
attending her sons sporting events.

Tiffany Knigge, PTA

Tiffany grew up on a dairy farm near Fairbury, NE and attended Tri County Public Schools. She participated in Cross Country, FFA, Speech, Swing Choir and Thespians.
After she completed her bachelor’s degree in education and human Sciences from the University of Nebraska Lincoln in 2017 she went on to receive her degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant from SCC-Lincoln.
Tiffany is passionate about living and working in a rural setting and the feeling of community that it provides. Married for 3 years to Husband Dylan together they have a daughter. Life is busy living on a farm with 2 yellow labs, a horse, and a herd of cattle. Most of her time away from the clinic is spent enjoying outside activities including deer hunting.
With her love of running came an interest in Nutrition and over all wellbeing. Having a general love of people and helping others was a natural fit becoming a Physical Therapist Assistant.

Massage Therapist

Michelle Blobaum, LMT

 Michelle Blobaum completed 1000 hours of training at Myotherapy Institute in Lincoln NE as well as under the guidance of Chrisi Lemke-Panko LMT in 2023. Michelle would like to thank all of those who took a chance to experience her therapeutic massage during her training since January of 2023.  Michelle’s superpower is Swedish movements incorporating deep tissue within a general relaxing massage tailored for each person. She plans on continuing her education in cupping, bamboo, and trigger point therapy.

Becoming a Licensed Massage Therapist has taught her to enjoy the little things in life and slow down. Michelle enjoys seeing improvements of client’s mobility, range of motion, and enjoying life with less muscle tension after receiving regular massages. She believes getting a massage is never time wasted and anybody is just one massage away from a good mood! Michelle is known for her intuitive touch and deep understanding of the mind-body connection. Michelle wants all clients to know the time scheduled for massage is for them, this means the client’s comfort is priority weather that means more/less heat, removing or adding bolsters/rolled towels and music volume can all be adjusted as requested.

Michelle and her husband Mike moved to the area in 2010. Her 4 children Ashton 20, Reis 18, Alexis 14, and Rhegan 11 and 2 dogs keep her busy. Michelle enjoys music concerts, projects around the house, camping and just about anything outside. Michelle will be offering massage at Husker Rehab in Fairbury and Prairie Wellness in Plymouth. Physical Therapist Assistant

Julia Boshart, PTA

Julia attended Peru State College. Majoring in Kinesiology with an interest in the human body and health. During her time at Peru Julia was involved in multiple organizations and ran for the cross country team. Following college she married her husband Dan and moved to Bruning, Nebraska. she worked as a pharmacy technician for a couple of years and during that time went back to school to become a Physical Therapist Assistant. Attended Clarkson College in Omaha.
In her free time she enjoys anything crafty — making jewelry, stained glass, drawing, etc. Julia enjoys being outdoors, camping, gardening, fishing, and hiking. She has a love for the ocean and its wildlife

Tracey Hanson

Tracey Hanson

Tracey grew up in Northeast Nebraska and now resides in Dewitt with her husband. She brings over 25 years of experience in the medical field, beginning her career as a Practical Nurse after graduating from Northeast Community College in Norfolk, NE in 1995. Tracey worked as a nurse for 17 years until a back injury led her to transition out of direct patient care.

In 2019, she joined HR part-time in the billing department at the North Clinic in Lincoln while pursuing further education at Southeast Community College. She earned her Associate of Applied Science degree in Office Professional Studies in 2020 and soon after stepped into the role of Office Manager in Fairbury. After a brief two-year break, Tracey returned to HR in 2025 as the Office Manager for the Fairbury location.

Outside of work, Tracey enjoys spending time with her family and painting. She is also deeply committed to advocacy, serving as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for abused and neglected children in the foster care system for over three years.
