Ryan Wade
After graduating from Weeping Water High School, Ryan continued his education at Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Missouri. At Rockhurst, Ryan received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and his Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy.
Following his graduation from Rockhurst, Ryan moved to South Carolina and worked as a staff physical therapist at Clemson Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation. While employed at Clemson Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation, he was instrumental in developing the Clemson Work Center and became the director of physical therapy. While employed at the Work Center, he developed a work conditioning program, performed functional capacity evaluations, and was involved with orthopedic, neurological, and cardiopulmonary patients.
He was also involved with the development of a pre and post work conditioning program for the Dunlop Company. Ryan was also involved with the fabricating of personal orthotics. After three years, Ryan returned to Nebraska to work for Husker Rehab. Ryan has been employed at Husker Rehab since 2004 and became a practicing partner in 2009. He currently works out of the Beatrice location where his duties include patient care and overseeing the day to day operations at the Beatrice location that currently includes physical therapy, occupational therapy, massage therapy, occupational health, personal training, and the wellness center. He has been trained and specializes in Postural Restoration and the Graston Technique and is certified in Trigger Point Dry Needling. Ryan enjoys spending time with his daughter and attending athletic events.

Katelyn was born and raised in Nebraska City, NE and attended Lourdes Central Catholic high school. After graduating high school she attended Morningside College in Sioux City, IA where she was active on the swim team and a cheerleader.
After Morningside, she attended Southeast Community College where she received her Associate of Applied Science degree in 2014 as a Physical Therapist Assistant and was president of her class. She recently graduated with honors from Clarkson College in 2019 with her Bachelor of Science degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Outside of work Katelyn enjoys spending time with her husband Britton and their sons Ryker and Gentry, playing sports, reading, and watching the Huskers.

Husker Rehab Occupational Therapist
Melissa Cromer, O.T.
Melissa Cromer has been employed by Husker Rehabilitation as an Occupational Therapist for the past 15 years and resides in Fairbury, NE with her husband, Greg Cromer and their three children.
Melissa grew up in the heartland of NE and Graduated from Grand Island Northwest. She attended Hastings College where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychiobiology. Upon graduating from Hastings, Melissa was accepted into the Occupational Therapy Program at Washington University in St. Louis and completed her Master’s degree in 1993. Remaining in the St. Louis area for 2 years she was employed by a small hospital in Crystal City, MO and later worked in an outpatient clinic before moving back to Fairbury, NE. Currently she keeps busy working part time at both Fairborn and Beatrice locations of Husker Rehab and enjoys treating patients all ages geriatric to pediatric. Melissa’s main area of treatment is upper extremity pathology including shoulder, elbow, wrist and finger and pelvic floor therapy for men and women. During her free time she enjoys outdoor activities such as golfing, gardening, running and biking.

Husker Rehab. is pleased to announce the addition of Wyatt Scott, PTA to their staff in the Beatrice location.
It is always extra special to get to see one of our former students reach their goal and welcome them back as a professional member of our staff.
Wyatt is from Lincoln, NE and graduated from Southeast Community College in December 2022 with an Associate’s of Applied Science in Physical Therapy. After graduating from Southwest High School Wyatt spent time deciding his life path and that led him to Husker Rehab. where he worked as a PT Technician. During that time at Husker Rehab. he found his passion for helping people. Wyatt enjoys spending his spare time with family and friends and stays active playing sand volleyball, wakeboarding, skilling and participating in Mixed Martial Arts.

Starla graduated from Fort Hays State University with a bachelor degree in Office Administration. Following graduation, she moved to Overland Park, Kansas, where she worked in the Orthopaedic Surgery Department of Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.
After moving to Beatrice in 1998, she joined the Husker Rehab team in 2003 as transcription support as well as a PT tech. She recently moved into the Office Manager position at the Beatrice location. Starla enjoys running, biking, and cross-country skiing with her dog as well as cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs with her husband and kids.

Greg Cromer, M.S.P.T.
Greg has been with Husker Rehab since its founding in 1995. He was raised in Utica, NE where he participated in sports and school extra-curricular activities.
It was in high school where he was introduced to PT after sustaining a back injury. Following high school he attended Hastings College where he participated in Football and majored in psychology and biology. Upon graduation from Hastings College with his Bachelor of Arts degree he was accepted into the Washington University Medical School program in Physical Therapy. In 1991 he graduated with his Master of Science in Physical Therapy degree and began his professional career at Jefferson County Rehabilitation and Sports Clinic in Crystal City, MO just outside of St. Louis. While at Jefferson County Rehab and Sports he was responsible for on-field medical coverage for 6 high schools. In addition to his duties at these high schools he was in the clinic seeing a full load of patients and supervising 2 PTAs. In 1995 Greg and his wife Melissa moved back to Fairbury NE and launched Husker Rehabilitation and Sports Clinic initially contracting all PT, OT and speech therapy services to the local hospital. In 1999 Greg and his partner Mike Zalman opened the first Lincoln clinic followed by the Beatrice location 2 years later. Over the next 20 years Ryan Wade was added as a partner, the Fairbury clinic moved to a location downtown and additional clinics were opened in Nebraska City and Lincoln.
Greg enjoys working with all ages and diagnoses utilizing several different manual treatment approaches. Emphasis of treatment is placed on diagnosing and treating postural faults and imbalances. He has been certified in dry needling, LSVT and Graston technique. His approach to treatment focuses on hands-on manual therapy, progression of therapeutic exercise and development of a home exercise program to allow his patients to progress as their individual condition allows.
Greg and his wife Melissa currently live south of Beatrice and have 3 grown children Kalee, Jensen and Alec. In Greg’s spare time he likes to golf, camp, fish and work in the yard.

Paul has been practicing Physical Therapy in the Kansas City area since graduating from Rockhurst University in 2014 with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Paul has a passion for learning and improving his skillset in order to guide patients to achieve their goals quickly and efficiently. He has a passion for helping athletes recover and optimize their performance, which has led him to specialize in cutting-edge techniques. Paul’s areas of expertise include orthopedics, sports medicine, strength and conditioning, manual therapy, dry needling, and blood flow restriction training.
Paul is originally from Lincoln and is excited to return to Nebraska where he will be closer to his family. Paul enjoys spending time with his two daughters, weight training, playing pickleball, woodworking and cheering on the Huskers and Chiefs.
