Dry Needling

Physical therapists use dry needling with the goal of releasing or inactivating trigger points to relieve pain or improve range of motion. Preliminary research supports that dry needling improves pain control, reduces muscle tension, and normalizes dysfunctions of the motor end plates, the sites at which nerve impulses are transmitted to muscles. This can help speed up the patient’s return to active rehabilitation.

Kin-Com machine

At Husker Health we utilize the latest technology to achieve the best possible outcomes for our patients. This technology includes the use of our KIN-COM isokinetic machine. The KIN-COM is a muscle testing and training device that provides our physical therapists a variety of choices in the overall treatment of patients. During the course of treatment the KIN-COM may be used in many situations to best serve the patient. This may include evaluations, exercises, Range of motion (ROM), and a wide range of reports.  There are many different modes the KIN-COM can be used in including isokinetic, isometric, isotonic, and passive ROM. Your therapist will use the mode best suited for your course of treatment.  The versatility of the KIN-COM is what makes it a unique therapy tool at Husker Health.
